Social Media Administrator
Location: Long Beach, CA (100% onsite)
A mission-driven nonprofit organization in Long Beach is seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Administrator to lead and grow its online presence. This role is responsible for creating engaging content, developing strategy, and managing community interactions across all social media platforms. The ideal candidate is an excellent storyteller with strong writing skills, multimedia experience, and a passion for amplifying inspiring voices.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Community Management:
- Develop high-quality, mission-driven content (graphics, videos, stories, blogs) and manage day-to-day interactions with followers. Copy edit marketing materials to ensure brand consistency and accuracy.
- Strategy & Planning:
- Design and execute an annual social media strategy, manage a content calendar, and collaborate with internal teams to align messaging with organizational goals.
- Event Coverage:
- Capture live content, including photos, videos, and interviews at events. Conduct live broadcasts to enhance real-time engagement.
- Analytics & Reporting:
- Track performance metrics, generate reports, and use insights to inform future strategies and improve follower growth.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist with marketing initiatives, special projects, and related administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Media, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience managing social media accounts and growing audiences.
- Strong writing and copy-editing skills.
- Experience with content creation (graphic design, photography, video production) and covering live events.
- Proficiency in design and editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Valid California driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
- Ability to work onsite full-time, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Compensation
- Salary range: $57,104 – $63,744, depending on experience.
- Full benefits available starting the first of the month following the start date.
