We are urgently hiring a Payroll Clerk for a renown construction and real estate development firm. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience supporting a payroll function. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Enters both electronic and manual timesheets and equipment information into the Company’s payroll systems.
• Reviews timesheet information for inconsistent or conflicting information. Follow up with business units for timely resolution.
• Reconciles and balances payroll entries, corrections and transfers of labor and equipment.
• Ensures all required paperwork is received in a timely manner.
• Prepares and files various reports such as monthly union reports, weekly 401k reports, labor reports, etc.
• Respond to employee issues related to payroll matters.
• Supports the certified payroll process.
• Other necessary and required duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Should have a minimum of (1) year experience processing supporting payroll.
• General knowledge of the various disciplines and procedures utilized by the Construction industry is preferred.

SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to stay focused and work without close supervision.
• Works well in a team environment as well as independently.
• Ability to accurately enter data and perform mathematical calculations.
• Able to adjust priorities on short notice, manage interruptions and work well under pressure.
• Ability to timely meet deadlines; coordinate workloads with Supervisor.
• Effective communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and knowledge of spreadsheet applications.
