Operations Finance Analyst
Location: San Gabriel Valley, CA (100% onsite)
A dynamic and growing manufacturing company in the San Gabriel Valley is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Operations Finance Analyst. This is an onsite, direct hire opportunity with excellent benefits and clear growth potential — including the opportunity to advance into a Controller role.
About the Role
The Operations Finance Analyst will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting operational decision-making, and providing critical insights through data analysis. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to analyze manufacturing variances, ensure accurate reporting, and drive performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Perform monthly reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end close
- Support inventory control analytics and annual physical inventory
- Analyze and track production variances (material usage, labor, purchase price)
- Link operational drivers to financial results and provide strategic insights
- Support audit processes and maintain compliance with accounting standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business (MBA or CPA/CMA a plus)
- 5+ years of accounting and finance experience, including within manufacturing
- Strong understanding of GAAP and standard costing
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor/Kinetic a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query, etc.)
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Ability to interpret large data sets and provide actionable recommendations
- Knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing processes
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 – $120,000, depending on experience
- Excellent benefits package, including mostly paid medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
