We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for our client, a leading pharmaceutical company in Lynwood, CA. This is a direct hire opportunity with awesome benefits. Monday - Friday 9am to 5:30pm.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform routine building maintenance tasks, including construction, maintenance, and remodeling, encompassing carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, etc., under management direction.
- Conduct minor plumbing maintenance such as replacing or repairing leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging drains and toilets, and replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices.
- Carry out painting, carpentry, and masonry work, including sheetrock, insulation, ceilings, and floors.
- Reconfigure, install, and remount modular offices.
- Replace and/or update inoperable or outdated building materials and appliances, such as motors, belts, pumps, sinks, doors, cabinets, shelves, tile, and filters.
- Perform janitorial duties and other special projects as assigned, both on and off-site.
- Maintain storage rooms, manage inventory, and request maintenance and janitorial supplies as needed.
- Section off unsafe conditions in work areas and report any hazardous conditions to the supervisor immediately.
- Collaborate and work cooperatively with other departments.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general maintenance responsibilities, including the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures.
- Basic knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Ability to operate hand, power, and bench tools.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed.
- Valid Driver’s License required if operating a company vehicle.
