Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our property operations team in Irvine, CA. This role is responsible for performing a wide variety of general maintenance duties to ensure the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the community's residential units, common areas, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in multiple maintenance trades and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance work including plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and hazardous material abatement.
• Complete resident service requests, apartment turnovers, and preventive maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain all common areas and grounds to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Conduct inspections to identify and address safety hazards or repair needs.
• Promote and maintain a high standard of customer service through positive, proactive interactions.
• Practice safe work procedures; complete required safety training and follow all company safety guidelines.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and appliances, ensuring a clean and orderly maintenance environment.
• Support porter functions as needed, including janitorial tasks and trash removal.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating on-call basis.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written); multilingual skills a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting (up to 77 lbs), pushing/pulling (up to 118 lbs), crawling, kneeling, and working from ladders.
• Must successfully pass a pulmonary exam and respirator fit test.
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is essential.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Experience in property maintenance or a related field preferred.
