Brewing Associate – 2nd Shift

A leading manufacturer of living foods is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Brewing Associate to join its production team in Vernon, CA. This hands-on role is essential in ensuring the quality and consistency of Kombucha during the brewing and fermentation preparation process.

Job Summary:

The Brewing Associate plays a key role in the early stages of the Kombucha brewing process. You will be responsible for handling raw materials, operating production equipment, and ensuring that each container is prepared for fermentation to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with adjacent departments to retrieve and place clean containers on the production line
• Fill containers with brewed tea and handle raw materials efficiently and accurately
• Unload and organize filled containers for fermentation prep
• Rinse production areas using a hose to keep floors free of debris and maintain cleanliness
• Operate industrial washing machines and dryers for towel cleaning and distribution
• Perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe, hygienic work environment
• Rotate between brewing tasks as needed
• Follow all standard operating procedures and perform additional duties as assigned

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic production environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
• Effective communication skills with team members and supervisors
• Demonstrated teamwork and the ability to work independently
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and workplace professionalism

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for most of the shift in a warm, wet, and humid environment (80–90°F)
• Frequent lifting and movement of containers weighing up to 45 lbs
• Regular twisting, stretching, bending, and use of fine motor skills
• Occasional pushing/pulling of heavy carts (up to 800 lbs)
• Must have normal visual acuity for inspection and measurement tasks

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• 0–6 months of experience in manufacturing, food/beverage production, or a related industry preferred
