Field Service Technician – Medical Device | Southern California
Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician for a direct-hire opportunity with a growing medical device company based in Southern California. This position plays a critical role in servicing, maintaining, and supporting medical equipment across customer locations while ensuring the highest levels of technical accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Location: Southern California (Field-based)
Pay: $70,000 – $75,000 annually, depending on experience
Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Travel: Up to 50%, including overnight and multi-day travel

What You’ll Do:
- Perform onsite inspections, installations, maintenance, calibrations, and training for medical equipment
- Complete detailed and timely service documentation (FSRs), expense reports, and technical records
- Coordinate with service supervisors for scheduling PM and calibration activities
- Troubleshoot and repair defective components; install or connect replacements per manuals and SOPs
- Maintain customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and ensuring preventive maintenance schedules are met
- Conduct testing, validation, and functional checks of equipment to ensure adherence to specifications
- Manage customer returns, warranties, and service-related inquiries
- Support the CAPA program through data analysis and field input
- Collaborate with procurement to track and replenish technical service inventory
- Uphold 6S lean principles in technical service areas
- Assist with warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, and inspections as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a mechanic, technician, or in a hands-on technical/engineering role
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanics, electronics, or engineering preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Experience in the medical device industry and/or field service work is highly preferred
- Attention to detail, excellent troubleshooting skills, and technical documentation accuracy
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP or inventory control system experience preferred
- Flexible scheduling and willingness to travel frequently
- Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 40 lbs
