Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring an Electronics Technician I ~ Medical Device Assembler for a medical technology company that focuses on developing and marketing noninvasive regenerative medicine products in Scottsdale, AZ. POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is to rework, repair, refurbish, and assemble medical devices. This may involve solving technical problems, board level trouble shooting, data collection, procedure validation and development. This position will support projects associated with product, materials and engineering as needed. Over see and lead the Electronic Technician I.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- • Assemble and test new devices, and associated sub-assemblies.
- • Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, analyze, and correct malfunctions of complex electronics or electro-mechanical products.
- • Recommend changes in circuitry or components to improve operation and maintenance, as necessary.
- • Recommend process improvements to improve operational efficiencies, as necessary.
- • Support inventory management activities.
- • Support all other departmental tasks / projects as assigned.
CORE COMPETENCIES / KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- • Understanding of safety practices when working on electronic devices.
- • Ability to troubleshoot and solve electronic or mechanical problems.
- • Ability to read schematics and board layouts for assemblies, familiarity of electronic components.
- • Ability to use test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, etc.), soldering equipment and hand tools.
- • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- • Ability to read and interpret procedures and follow designated processes.
- • Ability to comply with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) requirements.
- • Ability to clearly communicate and troubleshoot with customers.
- • Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and Outlook.
- • Good organizational skills and an orientation to detail is required.
- • Time management skills and multi-tasking abilities required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING REQUIRED
- • Associates degree in a technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- • Experience in electronic manufacturing.
- • Experience with troubleshooting, and soldering components on circuit board assemblies.
- • Experience with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- • Experience with Lean manufacturing practices
OTHER DESIRED CAPABILITIES
- • Solder certification.
- • Experience with RF medical or electromechanical devices.
- • Experience with Spectrum Analyzer and other RF test equipment.
- • Experience with programming and use of CPLD/PIC devices.
- • Experience with operating a Walkie Pallet Stacker and Pallet Jack.
- • Experience in writing / updating procedures and work instructions.
- • Familiarity with FDA Quality System Regulation and ISO 13485 practices and concepts.
- • Familiarity with IPC soldering standards.
- • Familiarity with FCC regulatory standards for RF devices.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- • Must be able to operate personal computer and printer
- • Able to work standard office equipment (photocopy machine, fax machine, etc.)
- • Ability to work on a computer up to 8 hours a day.
- • Regularly required to stand for long periods of time.
- • Regularly uses hands to operate computer and other office equipment.
- • Close vision required for computer usage.
- • Frequently lifts 15 lbs. (the weight of our medical device)
- • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
