We are working with a growing marketing, business development, and communications company in its search for a talented Business Development Coordinator to join the Los Angeles office. This position supports Business Development Managers for the Entertainment and Financial Services Groups, working with attorneys and consultants to drive business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Business Development Materials:
- Respond to requests for bios, practice descriptions, brochures, pitch books, and capability presentations.
- Assist in creating client proposals and RFP responses, including writing, editing, proofreading, and managing production.
- Experience Database Management:
- Maintain the firm’s experience database by collecting information and drafting descriptions of key engagements, transactions, and cases.
- Collateral and Research:
- Organize and maintain collateral materials, client lists, and representative matter lists.
- Conduct research to produce company dossiers with news updates, executive profiles, and market/legal trends.
- Strategic Initiatives and Reporting:
- Compile research on key clients, industries, and competitors to support business development efforts.
- Track proposals, opportunities, and provide regular reporting, including tracking wins, losses, and ROI.
- Event and Content Coordination:
- Research and identify speaking engagements, forums, and seminars for attorneys.
- Coordinate the production of newsletters, webinars, and client alerts.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with events, communications, and marketing technology team members to fulfill requests and achieve objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2–3 years of experience, preferably in professional services, legal services experience preferred.
- Superior client service skills and dedication to delivering exceptional results.
- Outstanding research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written, editorial, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities, with consistent attention to deadlines in high-volume environments.
- Detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Flexibility to accommodate workload demands and occasional off-site events.
- Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with experience in web-based research.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.
