Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Type: Temporary (Potential for Permanent Hire)

Pay: $26–$27/hour, Depending on Experience

Start Date: Immediate

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Model: Hybrid (2 Days On-Site: Tuesday/Wednesday)

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90094

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our finance team. This role is focused on managing cash collections, resolving chargebacks, and ensuring accurate customer invoicing and reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment—especially within the retail sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Collections (50%)

• Review wire payments and allocate work accordingly
• Contact customers to resolve outstanding balances or discrepancies
• Send statements and reconciliation requests to customers
• Investigate chargebacks via customer portals or direct outreach
• File disputes for invalid deductions

Invoice & AR Administration (20%)

• Generate invoices, credit memos, and statements
• Set up new customer accounts in JDE system

Reporting & Analysis (20%)

• Review and code unapplied cash entries
• Compile and distribute aging reports and chargeback logs
• Submit monthly broker commission accruals
• Assist with audit documentation

Other Duties (10%)

• Monitor and respond to AR inbox inquiries
• Perform remote check deposits
• Participate in team initiatives and ad hoc projects

Qualifications:

• Strong cash application experience (handling 15–20 accounts weekly)
• Familiarity with chargeback processing in a retail environment
• Working knowledge of JDE preferred
• Exceptional reconciliation and research skills
• Ability to manage repetitive tasks with accuracy
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn automation tools
