We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely collection and accurate reconciliation of customer accounts while maintaining high standards of reporting and collaboration. The ideal candidate will thrive in a structured yet collaborative environment and bring strong cash application and chargeback resolution experience, particularly within the retail sector.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Cash Collections
• Download wire payment reports and update shared files for work allocation.
• Call vendors/customers to resolve outstanding payment discrepancies.
• Regularly send statements of open invoices and reconciliation requests to customers.
• Research and resolve chargebacks through customer portals or direct communication.
• Filing disputes for unvalidated deductions.
•  Invoice Creation and AR Administration
• Generate invoices, credit memos, and customer statements accurately and in a timely manner.
• Input new customers into the JDE system as needed.
•  Reporting and Analysis
• Review unapplied cash and ensure entries are validated and coded accurately.
• Compile weekly aging reports, pending chargebacks, and unapplied cash analysis.
• Prepare and submit broker commission accruals monthly.
• Collaborate on audit requests by pulling relevant documentation.
•  Other Responsibilities
• Review AR inbox daily for inquiries and outstanding items requiring follow-up.
• Perform remote deposit of manual checks as needed.
• Engage in ad-hoc projects, team collaboration, and continuous improvement efforts.

 Qualifications:

• Experience with cash application (volume: 15-20 customers weekly).
• Familiarity with chargeback processing, particularly within the retail sector.
• Experience with JDE is preferred
• Strong research and reconciliation skills for managing hundreds of deductions.
• A proactive attitude toward learning and adapting to automation processes.
• Ability to handle routine and repetitive tasks while staying organized and efficient.
• Excellent communication skills for customer and vendor interactions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate data entry records.
